Affiliate disclosure
How this site makes money, in plain terms.
Last updated 19 October 2026
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up, the site may pay us a commission. You pay exactly the same as you would going direct. Links that work this way are marked on the page and are tagged so search engines can see them.
What it does not affect
Commission does not determine who appears on a list, what order they appear in, or what score they get. Our scores come from the five criteria set out in how we test. We list sites we would not personally recommend, and we say so in the review.
If a site we earn from is a bad fit for you, we would rather tell you that than take a commission on a subscription you cancel in a month. That is not altruism — a site that recommends everything to everyone stops being read.
Regulatory basis
This disclosure is made in line with UK Advertising Standards Authority guidance on affiliate marketing and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act's rules on consumer reviews and hidden advertising. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" as Google requires.
